Data Analysis

The Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI) provides state-of-the-art computing infrastructure, software and informatics support to users across the UMN system and the state. We provide free access to extensive compute resources as well as tutorials. Our 35-member Research Informatics (RI) Group has extensive experience in spatialomics data analysis, with direct experience with all spatial technologies currently available through UIC and UMGC: 10X Visium, Curio, Bruker CosMx and GeoMx, and MIBI.

Our analysts’ expertise includes a full range of spatially-relevant disciplines, including image analysis, bioinformatics and machine learning. Specifically, our expertise includes cell segmentation, co-registration, cell type deconvolution (for GeoMx and Visium), cell type identification, clustering, spatial differential expression, and custom spatial analyses.

Contacting MSI

RI staff provide support for all stages of spatial research data analysis, from experimental design and grant support to full-scale, project-specific data analysis. We are happy to provide project consultations and analysis quotes. To schedule a project consultation or for troubleshooting help, please email [email protected]

Analyzing data on MSI systems

For UMN users, if your research group has an MSI account, data from all UIC and UMGC spatial technologies is currently delivered to your research group’s data_delivery folder on MSI’s tier 1 storage system.
